Black leather - Cute boot and I liked the more substantial heel. I didn't like the panel in the back, however. The 8M it my feet and ankles, but would not zip over my 17.5" calves. I had to send them back.
Birkenstock's Gizeh Exquisite - Wow these shoes are so comfortable, I couldn't resist, I bought one pair in all 3 colors!! Well worth the money, if you're ordering the regular wide, go down 1 size (this is what I found anyway). You could walk miles in these shoes, and you wouldn't get sore feet. 2 thumbs up for these shoes!!
Birkenstock Palermo - A great Birkenstock sandal that appears a bit more on the dressy side for skirts and dress slacks! I wear Birks all the time, so I am use to the feel of the footbed. I was in a hurry the other morning, put these on right out of the box and wore them all day with no discomfort and no break in time required. Part of that may be due to the fact they are made of soft suede and not leather. I'm a math teacher, so was on my feet most of the day, too. I usually wear Bostons or Arizonas. With the higher strap across the top of the foot, the fit is similar to the Arizona, but not as chunky or informal looking. They stayed firmly on my feet. I ordered them in the same size that I take in Arizona, and they fit fine. I am having some problems with my feet at the moment, (plantar fasciitis on one foot and a torn tendon on the other) and Birks are the only shoe I am able to wear right now with relatively no pain. I would highly recommend the Palermo to any Birkenstock lover. I hope this style is continued and is offered in other colors. I have already bought them in every color available. Bigger than real life - The shoe is overall absolutely fantastic. But somehow Merrill, in particular this shoe, sizes their shoes too big. By about a size. Besides that, it's comfortable and supportive. All kinds of win.
Big fan of Finn Comfort - I am a big fan of Finn Comfort. They are worth the price because they help me walk without rocking my feet inward and I can go for miles. I am 54 and somewhat overweight and I can tell you these shoes make me feel light on my feet. The only issue with this particular style is the fit - I found them to be a size too large. I received a W instead of an M also and that is why I returned them to reorder a smaller size.
